Gaming Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Multiplayer help

Hello! We have 2 PCs with Heroes of Might and Magic 3 installed in both of them. What we want to do is have a team of 2 players on one PC and a team of other 2 players on the other, so we can play multiplayer team vs team. But we can't seem to find the option that does this, as we can only put 1 player per PC. Is it even possible? Can someone provide the solution? Thanks in advance

If I remember, HoMM3 supports either hotseating on one PC or multiplayer with multiple clients on LAN. You can't mix and match both types.
