ROM Hack Help with ripping a game's soundtrack

Hello, I wanna do my own gamerips of Tamagotchi Corner Shops 1-3.
I wanna do it from the .nds file. At first, I tried with VGMTrans, putting the .nds file on it, but it only found the voice effect tracks. Then I extracted the .nds file music with the VGMToolbox, which sucessfully extracted the sounddata, and then into folders, which I think has all the music, but in strange files (.sbnk, .ssar, .strm and .swar, and .swav) The only easable extractable method I've been able to extract the music was from the .strm files, with foolbar2000, but I know there's more within the more weird looking files. Should I just be happy with the streams or could you help me find out ways to easily extract the music of the rest of files I've listed, be it WAV?

It sounds like the game is just a standard SDAT sound format game.

The "best" method would usually be to generate a 2sf rip and VGMtrans, which is great for a whole lot of things, will not do that.

With vgmtoolbox and the snakemeat/caitsith2 rip kit aka testpack.nds (hard to find these days but still doable) you should be able to make a 2sf pack for the game. With that you can give foobar2000, Winamp and various tools that plugins for either of those a plugin called vio2sf that reads them. A few people were fiddling with the vio2sf source this year and late last year so http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_input_vio2sf might still be the current stuff but it might not, it should do admirably though.

If the music is not a wave format type affair (usually strm files that do that) then it will be in the midi like SSEQ format.

The best thing, I believe, is that I have just installed a s2f reader for toolbar2000.

What I am wondering is what I do with all those files I have mentioned. It could have a better quality than the streamed. Who knows..
