Hacking Help With R4I Gold 3ds Bootloader fix!!!!

Hi I have an r4i gold 3ds rts. I tried updating the firmware to work with the newest 3ds firmware V6.2.0-12.

I tried running the upgrade patch for V6.2.0-12 from r4ids.cn, I accidentally dropped my 3ds and the r4 came out while it was upgrading. Now the r4 wont wont.

I tried using this method as I have an r4 revolution for a ds light and I have a ds light.
1.Download the latest firmware and unzip it to the root directory of your tf card;
2.Copy Patch to your tf card;
3.You should get a NDSL;
4.Just power your NDSL on and boot up Patch with "A" card;
5.Take "A" card out of the NDSL;
6.Reinsert your broken card into the NDSL;
7.Press KEY_A & updating process will begin;
8.You should keep your NDSL powered on during the updating process;
9.IF the result shows SUCCESS, it means you have updated your card successfully and this card can work

Ive tried this over 10 times now and still no luck. (The upgrade processes when I hit A says failed. and Ive tried both patches).

If any one could help me I would appreciate it Greatly.

Make sure you're using the "DSL" update file as that allows cart swapping.

how do I do that lol. Im kind of new in the fixing scene. I downloaded the file from http://www.r4ids.cn/r4i-download-e.htm and top on from upgrade patch area

If not where can i find a card swapping fix. I just need it to work in my ds light and after that I can re upgrade it.

There's two .NDS files in the download.
R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSi_3DS.nds
and
R4iGold_3DS62_Patch_NDSL_3DS.nds

They differ by one letter, you want the NDSL one, not the NDSi one. The NDSL one gives you a chance to cart-swap.

ok. well ive tried both like 10 times. and neither worked for card swap. just keeps saying fail. and wont even load it

also i have a pink ds light. along with r4 rev for ds ds light. and my r4i gold 3ds rts is what im trying to fix. if that helps.

So you start the update .NDS file on the working cart, then take it out and then put the broken cart in, wait a second, and then press A to apply the update?

If it can't do the right check and overwrite, sounds like the cart's bricked, sorry.

well what happens is. Ill put the r4 rev in, load the .nds file for NDSL and after it loads I wait a minute before taking it out. Next ill put in the broken r4i gold 3ds card and wait a min or 2. but as soon as I press a it just says fail. its not even picking up on the r4. When i put it in the 3ds it just freezes it and have to hard boot it. and when i put it in the ds light it doesn't eve pick up on it. so I have no clue. I just don't want to waste 20 bucks tho.

Yeah if it's freezing the 3DS when read, it's broken.

So is there any way to fix it. Or is it just done for?

It'd be cheaper, quicker, and less work to just buy a new cart.
