You followed that guide in the past. Let me know when you follow it again in the present and it worked for you. If OP bricks from following an outdated guide, they can blame it on you for linking to the guide.
Dude....
Chill.The.Fuck.Out.

I did not hold a gun to anyones head and say "DO THIS IT WILL WORK!"
I said I did this differently, it worked for me, here's what I did so you can look at it.

I forgot how bent out of shape people get on here when you try to actually help instead of just repeating the same old "follow the god guide.... it will lead you to enlightenment".

I'm sorry for trying to shoot your idea down (it's a good idea, though), but people have followed outdated guides and have bricked before because the methods to do these things have become outdated or they can't follow instructions. I'm trying to prevent OP from bricking their device from following a guide that hasn't been touched in 6 months. But if there is a problem with the current guide, it needs to be brought to @Plailect's attention so that it can be fixed.

I am also interested in changing my N3DS from (11.1.0-34J) to a (U) version.

I have followed the guide by @Plailect to install arm9loaderhax and Luma3DS.
I then tried to follow the Region Changing guide but get stuck at Section III - CTRTransfer Part 12-13.
My DS won't boot up the sysNAND it just turns off, I know this means that there is an error with the sysNAND.
I can restore it with a back up of my 11.1.0-34J sysNAND and it works fine.

Has anyone followed the new guide successfully?

changing the region is easy, i do not believe getting the eshop to work is possible though as far as i know no one has ever actually posted proof just a few people saying it's possible.
i've region changed 7 3DS's all brand new never been turned on before changing their regions and never been able to get any of them to work on eshop following every different tutorial and suggestion step for step.

I know emunand isnt very popular (anymore) but I've had great luck installing a USA emunand via ctr transfer on my JPN N3DS. Haven't had any issues so far and I can switch regions just by rebooting.

After creating the secureinfo_C file, the region changed sysnand booted but as expected, eShop was not working.
My new 3DS doesn't even have any demo videos attached to the account.

This was an issue with an earlier GodMode9 version, but was recently fixed. Replace your GM9 with the current release.
PS: I backed up the eshop and the unknown folder of the ticket.bak
But I have not been able to reinstall the tickets by the FBI later, the FBI does not recognize them as tickets

EDIT: I managed to do that by backuping tickets in decrypt9

Try altering your secureinfo_C

SecureInfo_C already exists and the first data of 00000100 is 01 for USA
I think I made everything right

EDIT I just forgoten to change the region in profile settings it's all ok now, but eshop doesn't work

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

Its actua!ly just a old joke, meaning its slow. Was just kidding around with you.

I bet @AncientBoi has some hamsters hidden somewhere tho....

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

Not to mention this would be a massive pain to pirate

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
