Hacking Help me please, can't hack PSP!

First of my PSP is versio 2000

Ok so i tried one great tutorial and simple one http://nicoblog.org/psp/guides/install-pro-cfw-on-your-psp/
and i did first step to check my firmware and it said: 5.50 GEN-D3

so i thought i need to rise it to 6.60 FW (thats official one)

So i tried but when i tried it said: "The system software of your PSP system is version 9.90 There is no need to update" o.O because it said 5.50 when i checked...strange..anyway..

Than i skipped to installing CFW 6.60 PRO-C fix3
it entered after i pressed X and it said: Sorry. This program doesn't support your FW(0x05050010)


What should i do guys?

Hello,

Please try the following

1. plug in usb

2. go into recovery mode ( hold R when starting PSP)

3. go to advanced/ usb configuration flash0

4. go to your pc

5. navigate to VSH/etc and open version.txt

6. change version.txt from 9.90 to 5.50

7. save and leave recovery mode

This should set the firmware spoofing to 5.50,
Which allows you to move to 6.60 OFW or 6.60 PRO-C

Ok thanks! i did it, now my psp is ON.
So now i can normally follow those instructions to install OFW6.60 and than CFW 6.60 PRO-C fix3?

That should be possible yes, if the version.txt has been altered correctly

You can follow the tutorial again from "Updating PSP to 6.60:"

Please note that the tutorial also mentions the following ;

If you have Prometheus 5.50 CFW installed you might need to edit the “version.txt” before you cna move on with the guide:

Press select on your psp then change usb device to flash 0.
Connect your psp on your computer go to vsh folder.
Go to etc folder and open version txt.
Change release from 9.90 to 5.50 and save.
