That cable and power adapter should work fine.

Also another option is to attach the HDD to the computer via the IDE-connector, if you happen to have an older PC. I had my old PC on through the last night and added about 300 GB worth of stuff from games to movies (I can finally remove most of my original cases from my TV stand and make room for the PS3 collection, well until I find a way to backup the whole collection for that console!). Way faster than via Network. The USB adapter is an excellent option if you don't have a computer with IDE cables

I have been using an IDE/SATA board to V12/13 SCPH-7000X Slims with a 1.5TB 3.5" HDD in a External USB/eSata enclosure. It works with HDLoader, OPL and Winhiip using a Modchip or FMCB.
