Idea numero dos. Nintendo should spend more than 4 seconds designing the 3DS
Are you being serious?

Wait, rephrase that then so it talks about the people that tried to get Nintendo to release it early
/what?

How 'bout they could have release the first design at Christmas.
/What?

The only thing there's a SLIGHT chance, very slight, is a 3DS XL.
Actually, that will not happen. If they were to try to make that happen then you would need to hold the screen even further from your face, or they would have to increase the resolution, and neither will happen. A 3DS slim is already being designed, but they can not ever make an XL version and have it still give the same 3D effect.
And you think in the future they wouldn't improve screens to be different sizes yet same distance?

What some people want? A 3DS Micro?

Dude seriously. You are a fucking god damn idiot without even shit for brains. Really, you don't think about anything at all. Put me on your ignore list and stop responding to anything I say EVER. I mean it. I'm so sick of dealing with your utter stupidity.

Seriously, use your fucking brain. How can they make the pixels bigger but yet have your eyes be able to see the 3D effects from the same viewing distance? Can you scientifically explain it? No you can't. You don't understand optics. You don't understand manufacturing and production. All you understand is talking out your fucking ass.

Seriously, next time you respond to anything I say I will ask a mod to give you a warn bc I am so sick of your shit. Let this be a warning to you that your stupidity is harassing me and I am fucking god damn sick of it. Do you got it? Don't even respond to this message. Just go the fuck away before I fucking explode on you.

I also sent mine in for repair.. I had bad luck.. got 3 from the store with dead pixels.. finally the last one ended up with a sticky 3d slider and discolored top screen. So I sent that one in. Nintendo sent me a new one back.. everything is perfect EXCEPT the hinge is super wobbly. I have about 1/4" play in the hinge making about 1/2" play at the top. This means if I lay on my back the top screen flops forward that much giving me a tighter angle between the two screens. This is annoying. I can play this way, but find I have to shift the unit a bit depending on looking at the top vs bottom.
However, they said this is the way it was designed... and everything else on the unit is perfect... so....
Only one of these 5 have not had a wobbly hinge.. and they varied with play.. one was solid though. So for those who have solid no wobble hinges.. you appear to be the exception not the rule... and expect your hinges to loosen with time.

Also if you still own a dsi.. check to see if you have play in that.. the top screen is much lighter, but I note mine does it there too.

I also am annoyed with the wobble.

@OP

Where are you located in Canada?

I'm from Toronto and I sent in my DSi at Nintendo's certified repair location (NESA) and they give you a refurb...I had to go through 4 switches (by calling Nintendo) until I was satisfied.

Good luck.

And for those waiting for a 3DS lite, you're idiots. There won't be one. The 3DS is as compact as you can get it. The only thing there's a SLIGHT chance, very slight, is a 3DS XL.
The only idiots are those who think that there Nintendo won't release at least one new 3DS model, considering the 3DS' pathetic battery life (and Nintendo's history with handhelds).

Annoying how a lot of peoples 3DS's have wobbly hinges... Mine is very slightly, but its hardly an issue. It moves like 3/4mm. How bad is everyone elses hinge?
The annoying thing really about the 3DS to me is the screen and ghosting itself. I notice for pilotwings resort, it has the worst ghosting at times. I heard a new better glasses 3D screen got made too, which uses less power, more brighter and the sweetspot is apparently a lot wider, but the only issue the computing cost it requires, so I guess we'll see that if theres another 3DS.

You think you have it bad? My DS Phat has both hinges broken! I have to hold it at an angle to keep the screen from falling on my hands.

And I don't actually care. Stop bitching.

"My 7 year old console is more broken than your brand new 3DS, therefore you don't have a right to complain!"

Can't fault that logic.

The 3DS is a disaster. If you have wobbly hinges, you should have just toughed it out; Nintendo doesn't know how to fix their own issue, so of course they are going to make it worse.

Apparently they do know how to fix it..

It's easy... Simply choose another manufacture that is NOT in China...

So India has some magical hinges that defy the laws of gravity and textile strength?
WOW!

It’s not acceptable for a system launch, and the lack of solid information on the cause just gives people another reason to avoid buying a 3DS.

lol i asked in store and they said its because alot of people push it back flat, when its meant to be at a angle

ive never pushed my 3DS so it completely flat and i have minimal wobble

i let my step bro hold my Phat DS (hes 7)
he pushed the screen straight and so i shout WTF and smacked him on the back of the head
and took it off him shouting "you wanna break the blooming* hinges" *worse profanity was used

i found out hes gone through 4 DS Lites through broken hinges
he aint touching 3DS i say "you gotta be same age as me to use it"
