@GodofcheeseDoes goldleaf really need to be modified? couldn't quark be edited instead to decompress the NSZ be for sending to switch?
@Godofcheese
Doing the decompression on the PC side would:
a) be much slower
b) wouldnt work for SD installs.
c) > imagine writing java in 2019
NUT + Goldbricks for installing nsp/nsz over USB, speed 6.4MB/s.
Goldtree + Goldleaf for installing nsp over USB, speed 20MB/s.
NUT + Tinfoil 6.2 for installing nsp over USB, speed 45MB/s, with nsz front install works fine speed 45-78MB/s,
but queuing seems buggy
Any idea why goldbricks is so slow for me? goldbricks/tinfoil are launched from frontend nsp
Same speeds for me too so not a one off.I will look into goldbricks when I get a chance, however best case scenario for goldbricks is the same 20MB/sa goldleaf gets.
@blawar have you closed your GitHub?
Just noticed the 404... Hmmm.
Issues with github, just use Tinfoil for now http://tinfoil.io/Download#download
does this version still require nut exe to be open in PC to install via USB?

Thanks for everything
by the way im getting 25mb/s install speed on windows through usb goldbrick for a 15 gb nsz
i figuredyes, it still uses NUT for USB installs.
There are several .NSZ files that I can install with this that I can't with Tinfoil. The most common error I get with Tinfoil is "A system update is required in order to use this software," even though I am on FW version 9.0.1. I also have "Ignore Soft Firmware Check" set to Yes.
Every time I've seen that with Tinfoil, Goldbrick will install it just fine.
Which NSZ file?[/Q
damn, SO is 4.1gb as nsp.Star Ocean First Departure R [NSZ] 2.26 GB and Wizards of Brandel are the last 2.
