Hiya! I have been having trouble figuring out how to run GBA Rom Hacks on my DSi, Ive been searching all over the place trying to see what im doing wrong or if its even possible to do this. I've installed the GBA bios onto my SD card and can run normal GBA Roms perfectly fine with no problem. When I insert a patched Rom Hack into my GBA folder the GBA load up screen appears just to lead me to a white screen and absolutely nothing happens. Im fairly new to this so I may be doing something wrong or it may be completely impossible. Im hoping somebody can let me know a fix, Thanks in advance! ^_^

You are trying to load a patched rom, not just the IPS file used to apply the patch to the official game? Did the patching program report that patching worked, or did you get an error? Have you successfully used the patched roms on an emulator on PC?

Yes, I am using NUPS for Ups roms and LunarIPS for Ips roms, I just tried to run them on VBA on my PC and that didn't work either. The programs say the patching is successful so i really dont know what the issue is.

Trying to play Pokemon Gaia and Pokemon Glazed
https://github.com/Gericom/GBARunner2/releases/tag/v20200408-200126_44bcfb9_dsp-audio
I tried Pokemon Gaia and Pokemon Glazed with the latest experimental gbarunner2 build.
I played both the DSi and 3DS build with my N3DS.
White Screen for both Pokemon games in the DSi build. They run fine in the 3DS build.
Sorry, but I don´t think you can fix this on your own. This is something @Gericom should take a look at.

It's usually because code has been appended at the end of the rom.

No, it's a difficult problem sadly.
While I am upset about this information I am glad I finally got a sure answer so I don't have to continue tweaking with everything driving myself crazy over this! Hope this is possible in the future, thanks for your time!

So is there currently no way to play these roms on GBARunner2 on the DSi?
Would it be possible to install another emulator, or is gbarunner the only emulator that works on the dsi?

Would I be able to install a different emulator to my dsi to run these games, or is gbarunner the only viable one? If I can, then what emulator would work?

I cant justify $1k+ on a nice ass phone. I can spend that on a 75" tv screen. Why a 6" screen device cost me the same? lol

Nah a phones going to always be more powerful than a TV if the TVs $2grand maybe but why when I can put a smaller device in my pocket that does basically everything a TV already does

I can justify a decent $800 smartphone that'll last 3 years when I could get a 65" TV for $400 and buy a decent micro computer for $100 more

Tbf there are decent $400 smartphones in today's market that make top end spec phones unjust it's just what you want
