So I've tested out the covers I designed and printed them on regular printing paper. I used an ex-acto blade to cut out the prints and used paper cement to glue it on the sd card and honestly it worked great. I'm also planning to use tape to cover the top of it so the print won't eventually fade.

Never mind I figured out the dimensions. If anyone wants to know its 540X852, that's if you are using the DiMeCard. Bluejon feel free to put that in the op

edit: you also have to resize the images to 270x213. I know it's not the correct ratio but I've found that these dimensions work well on the DiMeCard

edit2: I have finally gotten it down perfectly. Using gimp I created a 550x903 convas.. Then I just transformed the sd card images 90 degrees clockwise/counterclockwise depending on the side I wanted it on. then I spaced the images by 5 pixels and left room in the middle.
this is my result (If you can't see the image then right click open image in new tab)

Hey, so I don't have a Gateway yet, but I have ordered from the gateway3ds.me second shipment, which should be about a week away  .

Soooo..... for my sd labelling, I'm gonna use tiny little labels on the micro sd cards, which I'll probably chuck in a standard ds game case.
This type of thing.

That's just a 600dpi png, so feel free to print that off and try it. I have some other designs I can post too, but if there's any kind of demand I'll post a template for them. I think they look nice, but then again I haven't printed anything yet.
I honestly think that a single game case is much more practical than a bulky micro sd holder, and while I will admit it might be hard to read the text on these at small sizes, I'd say that that's not really necessary to identify a game.
Anyway, nice to see that people are getting creative here. Imma get going and come back some other time.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
