I've seen some that just injection mold the spot, making it kinda hard to take aprt.

But the best way now I think is to get one of those official Micro link from eBay (eg. http://www.ebay.nl/itm/ORIGINAL-Rar...AU_Television_Accessories&hash=item2a23ff8d29) and a GC-GBA cable and solder them together.
