Inspired by Chaosium’s pen and paper RPG, the official Call of Cthulhu video game lands on consoles and PC this October. In anticipation of the release, a brand new trailer was released today during Gamescom featuring gameplay elements from the early stages a playthrough:​

In Call of Cthulhu, feel the influence of Lovecraftian Old Gods and other cosmic horrors, as you delve into the circumstances behind the tragic deaths of the Hawkins family. Helped and hindered by the mysterious locals of Darkwater Island, your journey cuts the line between sanity and madness as the hunt for truth brings Pierce ever closer to the Great Dreamer. To uncover the truth, players must unearth clues, interrogate locals, solve crime scenes and overcome dangers both physical and mental.

Call of Cthulhu releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 30. Digital and retail preorders are available on PC and consoles.​

I love the games with the " Call of Cthulhu" while none of them were amazing when it came to graphics, they had good soundtracks and history. For example the sountrack of Shadow of the Comet was quite nice, shame it was in a loop and after a while it gets annoying...



It's a shame Infogrames, didn't exploit the franchise like it should.... I still remember getting Prisioner of Ice in a gas station for a very low price and the game was still a new release.....
