They opted to remake a newer, already pretty nice looking Final Fantasy game.

instead of...

a: an earlier title
b: FF7
c: ....FF7?

I'm in no way an FF7 fanboy, and it would not interest me...at all...that they were remaking FF7, but I am SURPRISED at such a stupid decision. If they wanna remake the damn games...do it in order. Though I gotta say, FF8 had some sweet scenes. If they remade FF8 to entirely look as good as all those scenes...
i'd ruin my shorts.

Also if they remade FF9 to not suck or not exist, that'd be awesome too.

If they did FF7/8/9 it'll be like making a whole new game.

The pre-rendered backgrounds would not be able to go by todays standards, so they'll have to remake every single thing in the game.

Besides, they aren't even remaking FFX, just porting and doing HD textures, etc.

Why would they remake on both PSV and PS3? Most people that will get PSV usually has PS3. Fails. Will be on my PS3 then.

The best thing would be if every FF game was remade with the best graphics possible along with cutscenes.
Actually, scratch that. The graphics doesn't matter, as long as the games has cutscenes and voice acting (Like FFIV DS)

They'll remake final fantasy 7 soon enough. I mean even mario 64 got an update for nintendo. Sony's in enough hassle to make up profits from their loss from the year and they'll want to advertise the PS VITA on it's own so Id imagine the remake to be a handheld exclusive like all the other remakes of classic games these days.
