Gaming FF3 - Where is the town called Gysahl?

I just finished completing the Tower of Owen and according to the walkthrough on gamefaqs,

After beating Medusa, watch the show. After this, you should be warped out
of the place and the whirlpool blockade very close to it in the water will now
be gone. Sail east and follow the path south until you find a town conviently
located near a strip of mountains just large enough to cut it off from the
rest of the non-sailing masses.

Can anyone identify this town for me?

use sight magic or gnomebread youll see cities you have not visited.
the city is located to the far east it can only be reached by boat or airship

gysahl is a town where you can buy magickeys and gysahl green.

After you beat Tower of Owen, that whirlpool disappears.

Go up from there, once you're up go to the right, as far as you can
Then go down about 60% of the screen.

If you follow the RIGHT side of the islands, you'll see one piece that sticks out a bit and is cut off by mountains (What I mean is, if you get on that piece, you can't move further than the mountains)
But you'll see a city anyways...but looking for mountains may be a good tipoff that thats Gysahl
