Ok first time poster here. I got a fat DS at a garage sale a few weeks ago and everything works fine except it will not charge. So now I am looking for a way to fix it because it is really annoying to have to charge my batteries in one DS then switch them. Does anybody know what could be wrong or a way to fix it? I figure it is the charger port so I am looking for one to replace it. I've looked everywhere but can't find one. Anybody know where I could buy one? I need something like this: http://www.lunashops.com/goods.php?id=449 but for the fat DS. Thank you!

Edit: Also does anybody know where you can buy fat DS housing specifically clear? There's not much love for fat DS.

It appears I missed this first time around-

If you are going to be soldering something in the DS why not just make it a micro USB port, a pinout is available on http://nocash.emubase.de/gbatek.htm#auxsou...terypowersupply
and a USB one is available
http://pinouts.ru/Slots/USB_pinout.shtml
The voltage and current requirements are well within your standard PC molex connector or USB.

It might not be the charger port though- what it could be I have no idea without seeing it and I have not seen enough failed charging methods to want to speculate either.

As for cases DX is about your best bet, some US shops carry cases but not too many.
