Whew long name ...

anyways, I have been working on trying to extract the character sprites from an attack on titan 3ds game.
the trouble is, I can not seem to get the textures, i can get just about everything else.
I've tried so many things by now.
hackingtoolkit.
CTRtools
anythingviewer
some other thing I forgot the name of by now.
the works

The big problem is the game, its super obscure, and kind of old by now, and I can not find a raw dump, all the ones I have found are actually decrypted. they work great on citra
I did think about playing through the game and getting the textures that way, but its a VN with lots of outcomes and very long, so it would be hard to get the textures.

when I pull everything from the 3ds or the CIA file, I get everything but the textures. I even got the sound and moflex files.

I'm assuming the textures would be contained somewhere in the romfs file?
when I extract that I get the data.bin and movies and sound folder.
all2_u.bin
DATA.BIN
jis2ucs.bin
ucs2jis.bin

and I can't stress how tiny these files are, the biggest is data .bin at 34 mb... no way it could contain the textures right?
now I know from looking at the textures most of the data is the movie and sound, they are 486 MB's of the games, 1.048 gig.

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima took the stage at the outset to reveal that Switch will launch globally on March 3, 2017 for $299.99—earlier than some had expected at the price many suspected. https://time.com/4632820/nintendo-switch-nx/
