Is your ROM/CIA prepared for online play?Note that not all roms/CIAS are prepared.If you are sure your Rom/CIA is prepared for online play check your connection,some people are reporting not being able to connect on that game. Here's a solution i found though it will involve some googling on your part:

" You have to go through the nintendo pain of setting up your network manually.

google it. And if you still get the error like me you have to do some port forwarding for tcp and udp, you can also google the ports.

Then I had to allow dmz for the fixed ip i gave to my ds.

All of this is a major pain with the provider i am using.

But now it works at least."
