hello
does anybody have a map of the insides of the new 3ds xl? im trying to put it to sleep mode with a magnet but i cant seem to find the right spot. also when its closed the screen is still on , could this mean the sensor is damaged and i cant do ntrboot? the 3ds is bricked with error code

bootrom:8046
errcode: 00f800ee
FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF
0000000 0000000

also when i try to turn it of i takes like 20s which is pretty annoying while finding the magnet position

The Magnet are on the right side near the start and select button, so put the magnet on the right side. Depends on the type of brick unless you have a hard brick you should be able to recover with ntrboot.

That is expected. The bootrom error does not check for the sensor and never turns off the screens. If you get the error screen ntrboot was not successful.

Try Rebuilding NSCS Header
rebuild_nscd-png.376390

what are the symptoms of a hard brick?
The given error can be software caused (See the thread I linked above)
Try ntrboot into GodMode9 for an attempt to rebuild NSCD header.

In case this error occurred spontaneously there is a chance the NAND chip is damaged. In this case it will happen again, even if rebuilt is successful. Other problems might be present as well.
But… trying does no harm.

Did you rebuild the NSCD header with GodMode9?

in case that fails the NAND chip is probably done for.
