Emunand for me. Not worried about waiting the extra 5 ish seconds to boot into emuNAND (considering I waited nearly 30 seconds to do this with menuhax). Not worried about the 2 GB of space emuNAND uses. For those who cannot afford the extra space to install GBA games on both sysNAND and emuNAND I see your point, however a good sized mSD ($59.99 for 128 GB Sandisk Ultra Plus at Best Buy even) makes this point mute unless you feel the unecessary need to store the whole 3DS/GBA/Emulator library on your mSD/SD. I will admit it is a little cumbersome that to ensure GBA saves are not lost the system reboots to sysNAND (if you use AuReiNand), but I am not playing GBA to the point where I am constantly rebooting the system anyway. The scene until the implementation of A9LH preached be careful what you do on sysNAND so it still seems to be sound advice. For those on 10.6 sysNAND, I will keep my eye on further developments and hey like politicians changing their stance on big issues maybe I will convert later and contradict everything I have written here.

My 64gb was 13 and I have seen 128s for around 30 so there are even cheaper 128gb cards out there. so the excuse of having a tiny card is really a moot one lol. Hell the 32gb card in the wifes 3ds was 7

@pbanj I agree I have seen PNY routinely run a 128 GB for about 30 on Amazon/Best Buy. I used my Sandisk as an example just show even at 60 (price of Wii U/PS4/Xbox One game) size really should not be an issue for most users. Sure some will find other and better things to spend that money on so if they are trying to rule the world with a 32 GB/64 GB rule away it will just be a smaller world. The scene is an investment and for 60 bucks the talented devs here have ensured that is a great investment. Great work to all the devs who make this all possible.

well if you use a high capacity card on n3ds there is no boot time difference. I have tried both and there is no difference in boot time when using a sandisk 128g micro sd card on n3ds, i have stopped watch both, both 15secs.

A9LH (Fix94 fork) running arm9select with AuReiNand 3.8.1 as default.bin. Power on with no buttons presses, approx 13 seconds to boot into emuNAND. Power on with L button pressed (9.0 Firmlaunch sysNAND) about 9 seconds. Power on with R button held launches menuhax loading Gateway (not gonna lie it is not ideal but it's the best version of autobooting Gateway I have until Gateway gets off their SOON and makes a A9LH payload I can utilize with arm9select). If I want access to homebrew launcher I boot into 9.0 Firmlaunch sysNAND and run yellows8 hblauncher_loader.cia. Pretty sweet setup and I can't thank all the devs enough for making it possible.

EmuNAND for me definitely. In the event that my emuNAND bricks for some reason (me messing with stuff as usual xD). I can always restore that easily and if I lose the backup, then it's ok cause I can just restart everything again. Maybe when the 3DS s discontinued and no updates are issued, I'll change to sysNAND. For now, I'll keep using EmuNAND.

Good thing about emunand on SD: You could switch region just by swapping the SD card.
AFAIK, some local multiplayer games require same region.
Some Asian countries near Japan sell both JAP and English (most likely USA) consoles, which would benefit from this easy switch. Although the screws on N3DS make it a bit harder.

i think we can have multiple emunand and it can be selected using cakes. no need multiple sd card

arm9loaderhax is installed on NAND. AuReiNand just uses arm9loaderhax as an entrypoint to firmlaunch sysNAND or boot into emuNAND. There is no arm9loaderhax on emuNAND.
That's not what I meant. Read what I quoted again. What he wrotes feels like "AuReiNand can only boot to sysNAND but I'll only use AuReiNand+arm9loaderhax+sysNAND if Nintendo manages to block emuNAND", even though nothing prevents anyone from having AuReiNand+arm9loaderhax+emuNAND.

(Yeah, the "on emuNAND" part of my post wasn't so clear. I meant it as the boot target for AuReiNand, not the boot source for arm9loaderhax).

Honestly these days there is no reason not to use AuReiNand sysnand, as long as you're willing to invest the time to set it up.

iirc you can downgrade from anything so even if you do softbrick it's nothing more than an inconvenience now.

Oh yes, I forgot that. But somehow different region booting could not be done with a clean sysnand, right? So one point to emunand.;)
Memory cards are so cheap these days.

EmuNAND for now. Just knowing that I've owned my 3DS enough that I could use sysNAND is enough for me. No rush to actually do the switch.
As an update to my previous post. I have since manned up and made the switch. Outside of GBA (and DSiWare) it's still not a big deal, but there isn't much reason not to do the swap really. Having a 9.2 NAND is not needed anymore now that there's an A9LH version of Decrypt9.

I don't really get you here. It is possible to use AuReiNand+arm9loaderhax on emuNAND.
Ya I know that, I am just saying if nintendo manages to block my cfw+Menuhax+emunand setup then I will consider downgrading in getting otp and setting up arm9loaderhax.
