Elder Scrolls online to be revealed in June

Well... if they'd atleast hit the graphics of a fully overhauled Oblivion and keep their detailed world design it might be quite good.
Otherwise... I'm not sure if it would do for a long time. Oblivion / Skyrim / Mororwind have all been fully modable, which most players made high use of.
With an MMO we would have to take whatthey give us and well... a lot of our moders outside have a better eye and better skills in creating true atmosphere than bethesda themselves.

And with Guild Wars 2 coming out sometime soon I don't need another MMO anyway. After 4 years of Lineage II, and another 3 years of Aion and with GW2 coming out soon (which I will play for years, too ) I don't have time for another MMO anyway.

People should stop to throw one MMO after another on the market. There are some good ones out already, and there's no point in having a new one each year. I still have my single player TES's and I think I'll stay with them.

Quite a disappointment.

Uh, no.
That source says "set in the world of Skyrim", not "set in Skyrim".
Tamriel is "the world of Skyrim", the world that Skyrim is a part of.

Are they using Skyrim as an anchor/reference point, or do they really mean Skyrim? Because i think they'd say Tamriel if they meant Tamriel.

anyways, i can't see this working with the current game mechanics. i expect it will show up, or at least a vague shadow of it, and it will be heavily nerfed to accomodate new MMO mechanics.

I imagine that the article used Skyrim in the title because being the latest game in the series, and a huge success in sales, it is likely to be recognised by a wider audience than if they had said Tamriel.

anyways, it ain't so hard to mention Tamriel and then say it's the world where Skyrim is just a country or something along those lines. make people recognize Skyrim and then make them see how Skyrim is just a fraction of Tamriel...

That's pretty much what they did in that article isn't it?
They put Skyrim in the headline, to pull the maximum audience, and then in the body of the article they say "Molag Bal tries to pull all of Tamriel into his demonic realm." so that we know it's a game dealing with all of Tamriel.

Kind of if SW:TOR was in a fantasy setting.

The screenshots look kind of meh, unfortunately. I mean, I understand the game won't look as good as say, Skyrim, technical wise, due to it being an MMO and all, but the style of the game at this point just looks too bland. Although they did seem to take some inspiration from Oblivion's style, with the similar looking dungeons and monsters, it still just looks like an average MMO.

But oh well, things should be a bit clearer once we see more of the game at E3, although at this point I'm more excited for the new Skyrim DLC coming out this summer rather than this game.
