EA ditches E3's schedule, chooses to host EA Play in July this year

aaa.png

If you're excited for any games that EA has up its sleeve, you won't be seeing them in June. Though they haven't been a part of E3 for a few years now, EA always decides to host its EA Play Live showcase on the days that lead up to E3. This year will be different, as EA Play Live will take place on July 22nd, and though it has not confirmed such, it will likely be a digital event, much like E3 and Gamescom will be this year. EA has quite a number of working titles they can show off in July, likely involving a lot of sports games, a new Battlefield. something involving the Star Wars IP, and updates to the previously revealed Dragon Age 4 and Skate 4.

Witness as they spend too much time on talking about ThE GaMeRs and ExPeRIeNcE, while only revealing the next few new sports games and one major game in an existing IP(probably Star Wars or Need for Speed).
It's a tradition at this point.

It's not like EA will present anything interesting... but I'll probably watch it either way. I'm sucker for gaming showcases like these.

for a sec i thought it said
"E3 ditches schedule, chooses to host EA Play in July this year"
that would have been a disaster and a good clickbait title.

Every year I sit through sports update announcements to get the last third of the presentation, hoping for a Dead space game to be shown. Every year I'm disappointed and wishing I'd not bothered... Same again this year it is then.

OMG, can't wait to see their next sport game, I don't like the change they made in the last game. Also did anyone hype about the next batch of in game purchase? A lots of speculation about what it could be, include the clown custome for their CEO.

You never know if the key works or not, they don't provide a guarantee.

Sure is... and poor devs get hit with the charge backs

    Exactly.

Thor from "Pirate Software" said its just better to pirate the game than buy from a keyshop if you care about the devs

devs don't get hit with the chargebacks, the keys are free to generate

since the key gets bought with a stolen credit card
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If the game has a crack sure
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
