EA ditches E3's schedule, chooses to host EA Play in July this year
If you're excited for any games that EA has up its sleeve, you won't be seeing them in June. Though they haven't been a part of E3 for a few years now, EA always decides to host its EA Play Live showcase on the days that lead up to E3. This year will be different, as EA Play Live will take place on July 22nd, and though it has not confirmed such, it will likely be a digital event, much like E3 and Gamescom will be this year. EA has quite a number of working titles they can show off in July, likely involving a lot of sports games, a new Battlefield. something involving the Star Wars IP, and updates to the previously revealed Dragon Age 4 and Skate 4.
