The Entertainment Software Association has announced today E3 2023 will be run in conjunction with ReedPop, organizer of several popular conventions, including PAX, EGX, Star Wars Celebration and New York Comic Con. ReedPop is also the owner of many video game coverage brands, including Digital Foundry, Eurogamer, RockPaperShotgun and GamesIndustry.biz. E3 2023 will run the second week of June at the Los Angeles Convention Center, but will also have online elements, as previously confirmed.

"We are thrilled to bring back E3 as an in-person event with ReedPop, a global leader in producing pop culture events," said ESA president and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis. "The past three years have confirmed that E3 convenes our industry like no other event. ReedPop brings world-class talent and a keen understanding of the video game industry, which will serve to enhance the E3 experience for years to come."

Not surprised when they then announce: "We've canceled this year's [2023] E3 due to Covid concerns"

Just give up, E3. It's junk.

E3 is no mo. Long live the E3. It never moved to Texas, so it's as good as dead.

Company with at least some abilities.

That said E3 has been dead for years as far as I am concerned. The centralised model served basically nobody.

Last year was a bit more understandable because Covid was still pretty iffy but yeah, flat out canceling this year sucked.
Suppose for you, but if you'd seen how many companies pulled the Covid excuse to avoid having any contact with customers you'd call them out for their bs.

Even a simple fucking email contact was made nearly impossible to get in touch with them. Corrupt businesses do not deserve our money.
