Can you elaborate on the "SD Reading works" part? I'm a little bit curious.

The wood3ds posted earlier doesn't play games off the SD card, it adds in the capability to read and write to the SD card while in NTR mode in the wood kernel.

I explain the current limitations as well. Wood3DS doesn't boot games off SD yet, but can access it.

The image quality would decrease due to stretching an original size to another format(which is wider).

Just patch the ROM and use that.

There would be no point as DS games are insanely easy to repack or patch anyways. This was an actually good question though. (In comparison to the other things you ask, at least.)
