Games will not save for me... I can open pokemon platinum and then skip past all the cutscenes and set up my character and save the game and it will pop up and say that i have saved the game but when i restart my dsi and try to load the game i just saved it is not there. However if i check the root of my sd card there is a .sav file there so it dont make any sense please help!

From user @rodrichu

Look at the save file created. Is it a 512 kb file or a 0 byte? If it is the last delete it and change the "run in mode" to dsi mode (enforced). Run the game and see if the .sav have 512 kb.
I have no idea how forced DSi mode fixes this.
The save creation code does not check what mode is set for what game.
What theme are you using?

I am using the Acekard theme, and the size of the save file was 0bytes i am going to run in forced dsi mode and see what happens...

Can someone tell me what the 'Twilight Menu - Game Booter.cia' is for?

i dont remember ever seeing this before? i just installed the Twilightmenu++ cia and the updater cia, along with the latest nds_bstrap
and this was just with v8.0..

Is the game booter cia necessary?

Yes. It's for soft-resetting a game.

Not really. It's been there for a while.

Odd...

One last question, (sorry T_T )

i gathered these instructions, but how do you soft-reset a game?

It's not the 'L+R+DOWN+B for 2 seconds' is it?

Controls

DSi/3DS Menu theme

Left/Right: Select a game/app.
A/START: Launch game/app
L/R: Switch pages.
Y: Per-game settings
Y+X: Cheat menu
(DSi theme) SELECT: SELECT menu (Where system menu, TWLMenu++ Settings, and GBARunner2/GBA Mode can be accessed)

R4 theme

Up/Down: Select a game/app.
A: Launch game/app
Y: Per-game settings
Y+X: Cheat menu

With CFW: DS ROMs (on SD)/carts

L+R+DOWN+B for 2 seconds: Return to TWiLight Menu++.

It's the same combo for Slot-1 cards: L+R+START+SELECT
Also, make sure Game patching is enabled in Luma settings, or else it'll crash.
