its like nervous brickdown i think
the paddle on the bottle slides left to right
and theres a ball that you have to keep bouncing around
and to hit the bricks up above

That was a rumor. The US version DOES support the Taito paddle controller!

Wow. Amazing how "arkanoid" needs to be described. I used to describe "brick-breaker" games as "Like an Arkanoid clone." And everyone knew what i meant.

Well, neither Arkanoid or Space Invaders Ex has been dumped at any of the usually spots I visit. I would think it should be soon, though.

From what I understand, it DOES support the paddle, they just don't sell the paddle with the game like they did in Japan.

If this version is the same as the (J) version but with English (and I see no reason why it wouldn't be), it kinda sucks for a couple reasons. First is the lame borders on both sides of the screen.....why'd they do that?!? Second is the low framerate making the ball move in a choppy fashion.

Do yourself a favor and just play the Arkanoid clone in that Midnight Play Pack (#2345), it's MUCH better version of Arkanoid, even if it is a clone.

I'm a huge fan of Arkanoid since the 80's but this one dissapointed me for one reason, the gap.
Great soundtrack anyway.
