DS #1170: SimCity DS (USA)

It depends if it's light, medium, or dense (are those the words they use in this version?)

The basic mechanics are about the same as SimCity 3000, for which there are tutorials all over the place.

All the zones that I made are Heavy (heavy is after medium). Is that the problem?

You will need a lot more residential zones than commercial and industrial zones. Just keep building residential zones!

It's funny that this game doesnt work with some cards. But my so called 'horrible' SuperCard Lite Rumble can play it perfectly.

I got to say I have trouble with the control...drawing roads, or deleting buildings may end up deleting BIG things.. and no undo-option sucks.. atleast i can't find any

it's all so small, even when it's zoomed in :S boohooooo

I gave up trying to get it to work with my G6 so I traded in a few crappy GBA games and got simcity ds from EB

Undo button is the little red X on teh far left (I think, I'm speaking from memory). I've used it on several occasions. Not sure if you can undo deletes though.

Also, been running the Euro version on my M3 ever since 1.06 came out with 0 problems. Maybe the people with no luck just need better microSD cards...... just a guess. Good luck though.

Well, I don't think it'll be a problem any more... I noticed in Etrian Odyssey that my touch screen had been reconfigured, and that's why i found it hard to controll the sim city building things... also.. might explain why I have such troubles playing picross (those catch minigames, and missing the grid, so I draw on the line above n such)

kinda nothing.. the R4 get the firmware updates earlier.... and maybe there's some quality difference? (I think ive heard about the spring loader on r4 breaking, while none is reported on m3)

anyway, I'm happy with my m3

got it working with my M3 DS Simply (firmware 1.06)... i had to delete all files on my card and then readd the new firmware files. i noticed before when i was in the menu (even after attempting to over write with the new files) it still said version 1.04. so it loads now... i'll probably give it a try on my break at work today.

well, i kinda got it to work... after recieving the message that it couldnt load and i needed to shut down... i shut it down and after the M3 loaded, i took out the passcard and stuck in super mario DS and loaded it up just fine... loading wasnt long at all, but after i chose my advisor, it asks me for my signature. and after i put that it, it says "couldnt save, please restart".... so i erased all the saves on Mario, but still no luck

I've got a G6 Lite and I got it to work perfectly. The saving is a bit slow but it works. What you do is insert a original DS game in Slot-1 and keep it in there. Thats it!

However, saving takes a few more seconds than usual, but it doesn't hurt the game play (it does it on it's own).

this 'tip' makes the game on the card's save... be overwritten with the simcity ds save
