I don't mean to get anyone's hopes up, this isn't a port announcement, but a question rather.
Aside of the obvious answer (a coder), what is keeping DOOM64Ex from being ported over to the Wii?
There is a port for the DSi that was near complete, all but the game saves, but the author gave up on it. I'd assume if the DSi could handle it, then the Wii shouldn't be an issue in any way what so ever.
So I'm wondering why no one has taken interest in this great classic, especially considering that we've currently no way to emulate the original on the Wii.
I know a lot of people start off trying to port FPS' with Wiimote support and end up burning them selves out, so I'm wondering why not a port that simply supports the Classic Controller, GameCube Pad, or maybe something along the lines of what Nintendon't is doing with USB controllers and all.
It would be so great to have this classic realized on the Wii, especially since this supports add on packs that were not possible on the N64.
