Digital Foundry finally takes a look at the Switch port of Doom Eternal.

As much as I hate dealing with shimmering as a result of no AA, I utterly despise dealing with TAA on the low resolutions that comes with resolutions as 360p. Thank God image sharpening in Doom 2016 & Doom Eternal helps make the image not turn too much into a blurry mess.

60 FPS Mod
- Disabled boot logos
- Enabled FPS, Frame Time and Resolution counter
- Disabled gamma boost for handheld mode
- Minimum dynamic resolution for handheld mode is 25% (Default)
- Minimum dynamic resolution for dock mode decreased from 49% to 40%
- Maximum dynamic resolution for handheld mode increased from 72% to 100%
- Disabled dynamic GPU frequency scaling for handheld mode
Now it's always 460mhz without overclock. This needed to be disabled, because if we overclock to 768mhz (for example), we have stuttering. Frequency drops to 384 and raise back to 460 and drop to 307 and over and over again. Now its gone.
- FPS Limit is 60
- Anisotropic filtering 2x
- Some tweaks of antialiasing
- Disabled Light Scattering

1785/768/1600 in handheld and GPU to 921 in dock
To achieve 60 fps resolution will be always too low. In some hard areas FPS drops below 60

Strangely enough with the 60FPS mod, Doom Eternal appears to be the sole game that happens to give a shit load of artifacts when running the CPU at 1.785ghz. It's more so visually annoying if anything, & I have never once encountered a crash within my game because of it. So something seems horrifically fishy.

Have you tested it? This is romfs mod, it should work with all versions.

Actually Yes i tried but somehow the mod performs worse than vanilla update 1.3 with max OC and AC adapter connected. It gets really low res and blurry with the graphics mod.

Don't forget to check the updated file on Page 3. It says 1.2 but I promise you it works on 1.3. The first page is older, I think. And if you look on the upper right of the screen and see the number under the FPS changing from green to red, that's the graphical strain at that point in the game. When it's green, everything is sharp and crisp. Then it goes red at certain parts and things will go blurry.
