Hacking DOL Forwarder for Preloader?

is there a homebrew that can be configured to launch automatically to another homebrew? I'd like to load such a dol into nand autoboot with preloader. I would set such a dol to load usbloader gx. This would allow me to autoboot usbloader GX without having it in the NAND. If I were to put the USB Loader GX dol into NAND for autoboot, I couldn't update USB Loader GX without reinserting the new dol every update, and as you know USB Loader GX updates very often.

short version: simple dol that launches another dol at another path automatically. A dol forwarder. Anyone have any leads?

There was a .dol that launched channels (don't remember the name of it), so if you use a forwarder channel to load the USB loader, then you could do what you want to do (in theory)...!!

Create a file named elf_dol_forwarder.conf at SD root
Put the text without quotes "/apps/usb_loadergx/boot.dol" in the file and save it.
Upload elf_dol_forwarder_v021.dol from root of SD to NAND via preloader. Set preloader to start with installed file.
Now it boots to USB Loader GX automatically without having USB Loader GX un-update-able in NAND.

Since they are halfway done implementing homebrew launching and title (system menu channels) launching, it will soon be the only menu needed for launching anything.

There is a special dol forwarder for USB Loader GX to work with Preloader. I use it personally, it works perfectly fine...

forwarder fir usbloader_gx.

put this on the root of your sd card
install this dol with preloader in "load/install file" option
go to settings then change the autoboot option to "file".

there now when you turn on your wii, it goes straight to usb loader gx and it loads the .dol from the sd card so you can update like normal through the settings and always have the latest version.
