Hacking Does the region of the 3DS matter if you're going to hack it?

I saw a JP 3DS for a reasonable price on EBay that I am considering grabbing, but I don't know if it being JP regionwise will matter at all?

If you care about game update from the eshop then you should buy it in your own region.

That's not a huge concern of mine. Anything outside of that I should be aware of or is that it?

Nothing to worry about, the process is the same for all regions
