Hi all. My cousin tried to modd this Nintendo 2DS years ago. Can it be saved? I might be able to do it if anybody has some workaround. Thank you all for you attention.

You need a flashcard compatible with NTRBoot and restore a backup if you have it, if you don't have it then use Lazarus3DS

Check this guide, remove the spaces
3ds. hacks. guide / ntrboot
thanks alot. I have found on aliexpress some bargain selling r4i sdhc. Then ive looked into those guids and none have a specific guide do unbrick the 2ds. Wich one is the right one? Plus i dont have any second ds in case its necessary to unbrick the one in need. Cheers

The system can likely be saved. But not having any other DS system means you need a preflashed cartridge for ntrboot.
https://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=575 – has an internal switch for (D)S-games and (N)trboot

Install B9S like explained on the guide and then use this to gain access to the Home Menu:
https://github.com/zoogie/2DSaver

If your cousin downgraded the 2DS in order to install arm9loaderhax, any sensible tutorial should have told them:
  • a) to backup the NAND
  • b) not to use "Format System Memory" on a 2DS while on firmware below 6.0.0-12
A normal system update might not be possible. As soon as you have installed B9S, use GodMode9 to backup the current status of the NAND before doing anything else.

Report back for further troubleshooting once you have B9S installed. Additional steps might be necessary.
