Gaming Does League of Legends work for Windows XP?

Okay, so I'm having second thoughts in downloading LoL on my laptop. And since it's the only working laptop of mine that doesn't have over-heating problems, I'm stuck with Windows XP.

With all the system requirements, is it possible to download LoL on Windows XP?

Yup, League works great in XP just make you sure that you're using the latest Service Pack and download the latest IE version for XP SP3 (You will need it to log into your account)

This laptop was originally my Dad's so he's gonna flip if I... change something in the system. I don't know if I have the latest service pack that you mentioned too.

Oh, I just downloaded LoL and Garena+ works fine but when I tried to open LoL, this message popped up:
"Install VC runtime library fail! Please try again or install manually!"

Sooo... what now? *sweatdrops*

Download Microsoft Visual C++ from Microsoft Webpage and try again.

I hate to be that guy, but seriously do consider upgrading. XP haven't been supported by Microsoft for almost year now, personally I wouldn't use XP machine at all if it's connected to internet let alone use it for daily use. If LoL is one of only games you play it should work just fine trough Wine so Linux is also an option.

This is kind of issue that Google brings up loads of results by simply googling that error you bolded. Download this version, install and it should work. If it doesn't seem to work, uninstall all and every "Microsoft Visual C++ 20XX Redistributable", clean register with something like Ccleaner, reboot and try installing it again, I remember one case where some C++ was faulty installed and it messed up everything.
