One of the limitations of SDCafiine back when it was being developed on back in 2019 or whatever was Breath of the Wild would push mods out of RAM and crash the game eventually because of limitations or whatever. I read that Aroma uses a different memory heap or whatever now. Does that mean this issue is mitigated? Aroma won't let Breath of the Wild push mods out of RAM? That's why I switched to Cemu for most Breath of the Wild modding exclusive to Wii U

I use the WUPS version of SDcafiine and rarely have any issues running mods (except Cemu exclusive mods ofc). I’d try that first before testing if Aroma also fixes the issue, because WUPS doesn’t mess with your console’s boot process and all that.

Yeah mods works but that crummy program you need to merge mods is broken because it needs an older version of Python... Nah man, i'm not downgrading my set up because of that crummy program.

It should fix the issues, yes.

@wolf-snake What's stopping you from having multiple python versions installed at the same time? Like this:
Code:
v10lator@horst ~ $ python -V
Python 3.10.8
v10lator@horst ~ $ python3 -V
Python 3.10.8
v10lator@horst ~ $ python2 -V
Python 2.7.18
v10lator@horst ~ $ python3.10 -V
Python 3.10.8
v10lator@horst ~ $ python3.9 -V
Python 3.9.13
v10lator@horst ~ $ python2.7 -V
Python 2.7.18
Python 3.10.8, 3.9.13 and 2.7.18 installed side by side without any issues... ;)

Install Python 2 Use the python2 command instead

It’s not that hard so don’t blame the program when you don’t understand Python lol

Python is not really the issue here. If i want to have multiple instances of Python i would do so for something that's actually worth a damn, not for something i know its going to break because i looked at it wrong like BCML.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
