gifsoup is not helping me with making this gif i want to make... so if anyone has got anything better let me know please i tried google but the search thing for it just sucked...

Would it not be easier to download the youtube video (any number of methods, personally I like greasemonkey scripts like youtube center) and something like http://www.benetonsoftware.com/Beneton_Movie_GIF.php with maybe a step in the middle to convert the video to AVI or split it into individual frames?
Good lord, im trying to imagine an hour long video rendered out as a gif trying to load on my connection
