So what program do I need to format the drive?? Do I just format to FAT/32 and add the NGC ISOs and plug it into the Wii?? Also where can I find a Compatability List of NGC games that work?? lol

EDIT: Do I also have to have a cMIOS for this to work?? lol

Anyone still having problems getting Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II to work? I've tried an assortment of USB loaders (USB Loader GX, Wiiflow, and DIOS-MIOS Booter) and none seem to want to properly load the game. The last couple of revisions were apparently supposed to fix the problem, namely DIOS MIOS r18 and r20. I've tried with and without no disc patch, both either give me a black screen with no DIO MIOS splash, or a black screen after the DIOS MIOS splash. I also have NMM, debugger, and pad hook disabled (looking at the compatibility list, those don't work for the game). I'm quite sure it's not the rip, and I can confirm that every other game I've tried appears to be working.

It's not just you. See my previous posts: It just crashes with a bunch of debug information. There's nothing you can do about it right now.

It does work in Devolution, however. Just throwing that out there.

Note: I'm not recommending one over the other here. I'm just informing him.

here's the formatting app
http://code.google.com/p/nusad/downloads/detail?name=FAT32_GUI_Formatter.exe&can=2&q=
yes, it's FAT32 with 32k clusters
First primary partition (simplest if it's you're only partition to avoid confusion) MBR disk ("basic disk" in Windows not "dynamic disk")
There's a few compatibility lists but this is the one that was easiest for me to link to
http://code.google.com/p/diosmios/wiki/GameIssues
You name the GC ISO's exactly "game.iso" and put them in separate folders in the /games/ folder
There's a few guides for more detail but I'll link this one
http://gbatemp.net/topic/318585-how-to-play-your-gamecube-games-from-sd-or-usb-using-dios-mios-lite/

Is anyone suddenly having a problem with Tales of Symphonia (the NTSC version in my case)? I know it used to work, but since updating to v2.2 it seems to not work right (some of the sounds aren't playing and when I try to exit the town it seems to completely choke on loading anything, freezing with that wonderful buzzing sound). Don't think that it's my HDD or my dump of the game...other games like Windwaker work fine, and I redumped it just to be sure.

*edit*
Oh yeah, and I tried it in both DM Booter and the latest CFG USB Loader, just to try it.

It seems to be crashing when you attempt to fight the first "skull" in the intro(warning, HUGE block of text in the spoiler):

Not for me anyway...well, maybe it would if I could leave Iselia. :P

can someone clear up some confusion for me. The option to force widescreen i dont understand the need for it or what it does exactly. Even without that option enabled games like super mario sunshine are full screen no black bars yet other games like star fox assault have a black bar on both sides with or without force widescreen enabled? i dont get it. Thanks in advance

I think the force Widescreen if for the games that didn't natively support it. Some did so there's no change for them.
ok then why does the option not work for games like star fox assault in widescreen then? even with the option turned on it still has small black bars on both sides. Basically on or off widescreen option isin't doing anything for me lol unless im missing the point all together.

I'm having compatibility issues with 2.1 and 2.2 as well.
Out of my collection, the following games are no longer working:
  • Luigi's Mansion (freezes on the Nintendo logo sound)
  • Mega Man Anniversary Collection (freezes after Bink Video logo)
  • Shadow the Hedgehog (black screen)
  • Star Wars Bounty Hunter (black screen)
They work fine with DM 2.0.5
(Used CFG USB Loader mod r37 beta8; I may try with DM Booter to see if it makes any difference.)

Edit: Lastest DM 2.2 revision fixed the problems I was having.

It doesn't seem to work for all games (just like the 480p hack). If you want an example of a game where it works pretty well, try Windwaker.

Is your TV perhaps stretching it? I don't know about anyone else, but my TV stretches 4:3 stuff to 16:9 widescreen when it comes to whatever the Wii is outputting (this isn't the case for everything other than the Wii, so this has always annoyed me a bit...no idea if it's the TV or the Wii). Windwaker has no 'native' widescreen support, though the hack works pretty well.

Stretching it isn't actual, real widescreen...it's taking the square 4:3 image and stretching it out to the widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. With this widescreen hack, I get Windwaker in actual, true widescreen...not stretched, the game showing stuff beyond the usual box it's in. Here's a comparison using an image I found on the Internet and an added part showing it stretched (so I don't take credit for most of the image :P):

Ok, I was talking about the "Booter Drive Reset" option, but one way or another, at least DML is working for you. By all means if it's working with some variation of the software, it should be a simple fix once Crediar finds it in the code.
Ok thanks for the help and I smacked my screen because of your avi lol

Does anyone have DM 2.2 or any version at all working with neek2o rev 88? I just get the following error when I try to run it:
DIOS-MIOS v2.0a
Built: Jun 30 2012 00:40:30
This software is licensed under GPLv3, for more details visit:
http://code.google.com/p/diosmios
Alloc:Failed to clear memory!:FFFFFFFF

Then the Wii just powers off. DM 2.2 works fine for me on real NAND, but it'd be nice if it worked in DM so I can run other MIOSes..
