It was there but I never actually used it for anything other than to test it. I mean, if the WiiU had Skype then it could've been a good way to chat with your friends/family members but nope.

The Switch doesn't even have one. lol

Technically I used it once to make a Mii of my face and well...
It looked awful. Other than that, i never used it. The built-in microphone is also useless and annoying because it's automatically enabled in multiplayer.

Didn't nintendo land use the camera? I believe in one game was it the f-zero one, that the gamepad used the camera to show your face on the in screen monitor. Besides that i don't think there was any actual GAME that used it. It could have maybe been for qr scanning or even just taking pictures to upload to facebook or maybe live stream for youtube/twitch... if wii u did that naturally like ps4 and xbox one.

Tank! Tank! Tank! for icons.
Minecraft (microphone for game chat) because signs are 'censored'.

Still haven't made a Wii U chat-call--afraid I might have to explain life to a child.

Forgot the usefulness of game chat in MH3U.

I used it to talk to my friends over the wii u's video chat service. Then there's wii fit u, Nintendo land, and a ton of other games that use the camera.

It was okay, could have been better. I just had to make sure to have plenty of white light beforehand (so I wouldn't get crappy images/video quality)

I think I only ever used it for Nintendo Land and that was it. What a waste that was.

What other 1st party games used it or 3rd party for that matter?

Yup, I also used the camera in ZombiU. Except for that, I used it in Tank Tank Tank and once in the Wii U Video Chat.

The camera was pointless because most games were designed to be played on the TV, with the gamepad held like a regular controller and the camera constantly aimed at one or more wobbling chins, not really something usable in gameplay.
