Maybe a newbie-level question but, is it possible to fully brick a 3DS if you have A9LH on it AND you have no NAND back-up to restore?..

What I mean is, even if all of the 3DS-scene hacker people got together and made it their life's mission to fix rafa10's 2DS, could they do it?.. Or is it technically possible that it is in a state to where it is unfixable even if he can run A9LH payloads?..

I mean like, if you installed A9LH, and then wrote all zeros to your whole CTRNAND, and you don't have a back-up, is your 3DS a brick for the rest of eternity now?..

A9lh should be all thats required for recovery once bootrom exploits are released and real cfws made.

The nand itself I believe has to be viable at least, in terms of the system veing able to decrypt/mount it and the unique system files that aren't part of the transfer being there.

@OP have you managed to get back to a 'stock' system - ie restored SecureInfo_A back to what it was originally? Or did you hopefully follow the guide correctly and copy it to _C first then edit that?

To me it seems like a motherboard switch is what happened here...

Yes. Do the DSiware downgrade on a console that has a9lh installed and don't have an usable backup.
You write trash to firm0/1 due to the plaintext attack and remove a9lh and get yourself a nice brick. (restorable with a NAND backup, but nothing else)

You mean maybe something changed in my system info A file and that's why the safemode on 9.2.0 EUR (with EUR region changing ) won't launch ?

Yea I believe _A should never be touched or altered. Reset it to original [there might be on in files9 or a9lh folder]

I'd say sky3ds but it's ultimately your choice

CW7253, I've tried ctr 2.1.0 EUR/USA and 9.2.0 EUR/USA I can launch safemode only on 9.2.0 USA but I have a error at the beginning of the update

I'm not sure if anyone pointed this out yet, but a serial number starting with CW indicates a USA-region Old 3DS. It *should* have USA firmware, unless you're trying to region-switch it to Europe.

EDIT: After looking through the thread some more, the actual serial number is AEMxxx, which is a EUR-region 2DS. Disregard.
