Cutefish os Linux

Hey guys,

this thread is about the Cutefish os from Nazky. Attention somewhere in the post is a smaller filedownload i dont know why.

I have a PS4 pro 7216b. In general i can loading Linux, but without Wifi and bluetooth.

I wanted to test cutefish os in the hope that there is a fix for my model.

My main problem is that if i try to burn the image to my hdd, then i get the message that the image is broken.

I tried Balena etcher and Rufus.


Have somebody tested it yet? Have you also the problem? I have read in the original Twitter post that a guy have the same problem like me.

Maybe this problem is not unique.

The fix won't be in a distro - low level drivers for LAN, WLAN and Bluetooth have to come from the kernel. A new bzimage.

Closest I've come so far, is compile this. It's a version of the 5.13.18 Baikal I compiled with the config of a 4.14.93 that had USB dongle support.

If you have a USB wifi/ ethernet dongle, this'll at least make get you a usable system. Theoretically your chipset should be close enough to the 7215B.

I orded a stick with bluetooth and wlan for windows linux and mac. Let try your bzimage when my stick is arrived.
