Patches are really super easy to make. An items patch like this takes 2-3 minutes to make. Not really sure why some people refuse to release partial patches when they are so easy to make.
Different games might be different and harder to make patches for. Like cryptography and stuff that makes making a patch take a lot of time. That's the only thing I can think of.
If kaikaiser can do it, then really, anyone can. If you want to make your own patch, just follow the instructions. kaikaiser will make one for you when he's satisfied with everything. You can also do various things like show off a video of how the patch looks.
I'm surprised it hasn't crashed yet.
It's a research problem more than a translation one the monster names. Research is fun too. You are bound to learn about monsters from different cultures' mythology that you didn't know about before. I think Unchain Blades is a mish-mash. They use all different ones including Japanese and various European and African. Read about the
Catoblepas, which is an African one. That said, nobody ever really looks at the monster names, so the descriptions aren't too important I think.
1) Put monster/weapon name in Google
2A) If no Wikipedia link on 1st page of Google, highlight cell and stop.
2B) If Wikipedia link, go to Wikipedia (JP)
3A) If no English page link on Wikipedia, highlight cell and stop.
3B) Click "English" page link on Wikipedia
4) Type monster name from English Wikipedia into sheet
Repeat as needed. You don't even need to know Japanese to do this, lol. It works for most entries. It worked beautifully for Catoblepas.
For quest there are 6 (!) different text things:
1) Name of the quest
2) Description of the quest (bulletin board)
3) Description of the quest (in-progress, from quest menus)
4) Quest finish message
5) Quest objective 1
6) Quest objective 2
I finished translating quest names and objectives.
