ROM Hack Costmetic Hacks?

Have any cosmetic DS rom hacks happened before guys? Like texture hacking or model hacking?

I have been trying to get texture hacks working for DS and im starting to have some luck, i will post back when i have some more info.

in a few games yes.
someone replaced roxas with ven in kingdom hearts once(though it didn't work that well)
more of a success was the character replacement done with soma bringer, where several people where playing as the bad guys.
