SourcePhil Harrison of SCEA said:GamePro sat down with Sony Computer Entertainment executive Phil Harrison at E3 earlier this week, where he re-iterated a sentiment made by Microsoft's Corporate Vice President of Interactive Entertainment Peter Moore, where he said that buyers of of a next-generation console should also buy Nintendo's Wii system.
"I think Peter Moore is exactly right," Harrison said. "I think Nintendo will be the second system consumers purchase after PlayStation 3. I haven't had a chance to check out the Wii myself, but Nintendo has a great history of innovation and has always done great things for gaming and long may they do so."

Peter Moore of MicrosoftYou read it right. Peter Moore, a vice president for Microsoft, asked in a recent interview, "Tell me why you would buy a $600 PS3?" He went on to explain, "People are going to buy two [machines]. They're going to buy an Xbox and they're going to buy a Wii ... for the price of one PS3."
Now, I don't know if anybody realises, but if both are these companies are saying "Buy our console and a Wii"..umm...doesn't the Wii win in terms of sales? I mean, if everyone has a Wii, and then a 360 or PS3, it would mean Wii is in every household.
I know Nintendo isn't in competition, but it's these kind of statements that could in turn push Nintendo to the top. I'd like to know exacty what both gaming giants are doing pushing their non-immediate competition. If everybody buys the Wii and does enjoy it, do you really think your "If we destroy one, we can take down Nintendo ourselves" strategy will work? Hahaha...
Just something I'd share with you all
