I never seem to see much talk around the older systems. Such as Amiga, Commodore 64/Vic 20/16, Spectrum, Amstrad, MSX, Atari ST, Atari 800 (Atari 8bit line in general), Atari 2600, Intellivision and so on and so on.
Yet for all of these systems there are tape/disk emulation devices. Or cartridges for the consoles.
Not to mention there’s a huge amount of development still going on around them. With new games, apps, lost treasures being discovered and so on. There’s thriving scenes for all of the classics.
But surely I’m not the only one on GBATemp who still uses the good old systems..... Am I?
So, I’ll start off with my collection of systems I’ve accumulated over my 40 years of gaming. I still use them all, they’re set-up in my office, y’know for when I’m “working”. Yes, I’m an old fecker, I care not
For pretty much all of these systems I have a backup/development device (call them what you will) so that I can enjoy all of the new games and hacks that are still being made by fans. I’m including phones/tablets and so on, because I game on those too.
Who else still uses their classic systems from the days of old?
