I know we're a long way off from this become an actual relevant issue, but might as well bring it up now; I'm sure you've all noticed how the game speeds up drastically if it's in a state where it's not having any trouble rendering things (most usually text menus). In other words, it's going way over 60 FPS, causing the audio emulation to freak out, etc. It might be a good idea to implement an FPS cap sooner or later to prevent that.
there is. Never once my fps went over 60fps which i do get in games like shovel knight and some menus in other games.

According to FRAPS, I, like Rhapsody, get over 60 FPS on things like menus, some title screens, and even some loading screens. This makes the music go really fast.
In most cases, because of how weak my laptop is, I can only get 10-15 FPS on average in games. This is with both the nightly builds, and with Leo121's build. I have never seen any sign of Citra having a FPS limit feature.
Are you sure that you don't have a program running in Windows that's causing the FPS cap?

Hey Citra devs, can something be done about that pesky bottom screen, like shoving it in a corner like some kind of facecam overlay? It's preventing the full hd glory. :)

Maybe something (software or hardware) that came with your computer is the cause of that then. As far as I know, most people don't get a 60 FPS cap. As a matter of fact, the only other person that I've seen with Citra Capped to 60 FPS is JohnGodGames, and he might be doing that with his screen capture software.

Do the people who get over 60fps have high refresh rate monitors, i.e greater than 60Hz?

that may be the reason why.
So, are you saying that, because you have a dedicated video card, that that is why you might be getting the FPS cap, or are you saying that I get above 60 FPS because of the Intel HD GFX? If it's the latter, then I don't think that's it, considering that, I believe there are some people on here, who get over 60 FPS in some spots while using different video hardware from what I have.

They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik

but its a custom os for both of them

    designed for only specific hardware

so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think

It's a locked down Linux distro basically

I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
