Hacking Changing flashcard firmware

Hi there yet again

I've got an R4 clone on my DS which has terrible default firmware which can't be updated, it's a modified version of YSMenu. I managed to get around it by downloading RetroGameFan's Update, copying the R4 clone files over to the cart, navigating to RGF's YSMenu.nds, running that, and then opening my games from the new YSMenu. This is not so troublesome but it would be nice to just boot straight into RGF's YSMenu. Is there a way to make that happen? Thanks a bunch in advance!
