Hello, I have an old 3Ds on 11.5.0-38 I got the homebrew launcher running I'm wondering how can I get a CFW running do I need to buy a flashcart?

Currently you have 3 options
NTRBoot: Does require you buy/own a compatible cart. Currently there are two supported carts that you can buy: R4i Gold or Ak2i
Hardmod: Requires you to have soldering skills or have someone do it for you
DSiware: Requires another pre-hacked old3DS (old2DS) in order to transfer the exploit to your system
As of the time of me writing this post, there are no publicly released kernel exploits for 11.4+

d3m3villur implemented it first on ak2i (only could be used on OFW <= 4.3), then it was worked on for the r4i gold variants (OFW <= 11.5)

The switch emulators on pc rely on your CPU mostly, and they only use a single core, so GPU not as important as a good CPU. I don't use switch emulator, but many here do, and willing to help.
