I'm following the YouTube video guide located here:

I cannot get CFG USB loader to load Wii games from a 32gb Sandisk Ultra USB drive, no matter what I try.

Games come up in the app just fine, and I can update them with artwork, but when I try to load them, the Wii just sits there with the message "Booting Wii game, please wait" and never does anything else.

What am I missing?

Well, crap. I tried another USB device, and it loads just fine. So, Apparently these don't work:

amazon[dot]com[/]/SanDisk-32GB-Ultra-Flash-Drive/dp/B0762214D4

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Okay, so now that I've figured THAT out, can anyone recommend a 32gig flash drive that actually DOES work with CFG USB loader?

Nevermind, I just found the compatibility list. I'll work from there.

Yes stay away from usb sticks. Nothing but issues. They will have you chasing your tail in circles trying to resolve issues

Okay, I'm an idiot. I forgot to use Wii Backup manager to format the USB stick. Not just "create the WBFS folder," but actually format the stick itself. Once I did that, it worked fine.

I'm asking because I have the same hard drive and for the life of me can't grt it to work, even if I use Wii backup manager to format it.
