Gaming Certain Effects In Splatoon are very Quiet

On my friends Wii U some sounds like throwing bombs and getting splated are very quiet. I looked around for a setting to change it back to normal but I can't find one. Anyone k ow how to fix this?

Is the volume on or off on the Wii U gamepad?

Off. Wait the effects come through both th gamepad and the tv. That's it.

Turn surround sound off in the Wii U settings.

Surround off and you can use a headphone if u want. make sure its a jack plug 3.5mm
