YES! Solved it loading IOS236 to install the wad (as Joostin suggested).
Thank you so much, I can finally update Mario Kart 8 and watch Netflix again (among other things)!

No, but the WiiU wouldn't let me use the online services (Netflix included) without updating. I was more than pissed...

Well his previous version might have been messed up. I didn't have the hashes to compare it to though.

It gives me Error 162-3006.

Just posting to let anyone know that is having this problem, this error is not exclusive to this poster's problem. I had this problem this morning, and I fixed it by removing the blacklisted nintendo IPs from my router. Error 162-3006 isnt always an IOS issue.

Is there some kind of repository or something for error codes experienced by homebrew users? Nintendo error code search function doesnt help alot of the time

Not a complete one. There are a lot of incomplete ones though. A few years ago I started working on a homebrew app that gave explanations for all homebrew errors, but I gave up because nobody showed any interest.

I imagine it would be super hard to get every error and every possible cause, since error codes seem to mean 10 different things. Wouldnt work without a community effort I suppose.
