I just got an ISO for the game Star Wars : The Force Unleashed

The ISO is located in a folder titled ISO.

The ISO folder is on the root of the memory stick.

The game shows up when I open my memory stick on my PSP in the game section, right? Hover over the icon, the background changes to a force unleashed pic and a Star Wars theme plays!

Start it, and whomp - a black screen. You know the one, where the home button is no use and all you can do is completely shut down your PSP.

What have I done wrong? I have nothing else in the ISO folder.

Here is the PRO VSH MENU in text

CPU CLOCK XMB : Default
CPU CLOCK GAME : Default
USB DEVICE : Memory Stick
UMB ISO DEVICE : M33 Driver
ISO Video Mount : None
RECOVERY MENU ->
SHUTDOWN DEVICE
SUSPEND DEVICE
RESET DEVICE
RESET VSH
EXIT

If I have to, I will set up that program that captures the screen of your PSP and post my Recovery Menu settings.

If all else fails, I will post a the Menu in text format.

Please help, I want to play this and Battlefront very badly.

Two things:
1. Don't link warez (piracy) sites. It's against forum rules.
2. Make sure your ROM is a '*.iso' or a '*.cso'. If that's not the problem, maybe it's a bad dump. Test it in PPSSPP on your PC.

Also, making multiple copies of the same thread isn't the best idea.

Reply to 1. Oops, forgot my forum etiquette.

Reply to 2. It is in a .iso format. I never had a reason to use PPSSPP, so let me set it up. Will get back to you on it..

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I get a black screen in PPSSPP, but I think that the problem might be my Graphics card. I was told during the PPSSP setup that many games may be incompatible.

Also, I thought that when I posted the second thread, I was instead just making edits to the original one. I expected it to just redirect me, or something like that.

Will download another iso and see if i get better results. Also, can it be that the game just wouldn't be able to run without running as a UMD? ...nah, I doubt it.

Also, is running PSX isos the same thing? (put the iso in the iso folder)

Try a different ISO driver. M33 has some age on it and didn't have that great of compatibility if I remember correctly. What CFW are you running? Also, if you have any game plugins running, try disabling them. As mentioned before, it could also just be a bad dump.

Now the game will start 50% of the time after I changed the ISO driver, but will crash after about a minute.

I'm pretty sure I got a bad dump.
